Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. This physical activity-based positive youth development program for 3rd-8th-grade girls is designed to enhance girls’ social, psychological and physical skills and behaviors to successfully navigate life experiences. The curriculum, delivered by trained volunteer coaches, helps girls develop competence, confidence, connection, character, caring, and contribution through lessons incorporating running and other physical activities. Each 10-week season ends with a celebratory 5k event that helps build confidence through accomplishment while preparing girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.
