Tanager’s mission is to provide services to children and families that inspire, empower, and heal. At the heart of their community work is the desire to be a resource and support for young people and families. Tanager’s comprehensive and strength-based approach and philosophy provides a comprehensive continuum of services designed for prevention, treatment, and outreach to over 4,000 children and families each year. The organization currently provide services for children across multiple counties in Eastern Iowa, using evidence-based programs Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children, Behavioral Health Clinic, Community- Based Services, Pediatric Integrated Health, Expressive Arts Program, LGBTQ+ Youth Center, the Meraki Training and Education Institute, Camp Tanager, and other prevention programming.
