Kids First Law Center
Kids First Law Center creates stability for children, resolves conflict around kids, connects families to needed resources, and makes children’s voices heard through five
programs: legal advocacy for children in high-conflict custody and divorce cases; educational workshops for school-age children of divorcing parents; joint parenting sessions (mediations) for separated parents; a safe place for parents who need help exchanging children peacefully; and a restorative justice project in 10 Cedar Rapids schools where Kids First helps children resolve conflicts with their peers and teachers. Local support is critical to bringing about lasting change for more than 2,600 children in the Corridor every year.
