The Arc of East Central Iowa empowers people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to engage in lifelong opportunities to live, learn, work and play with dignity, freedom and full-inclusion in their communities. This organization serves nearly 650 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in every stage of life through a variety of programs, services and advocacy. Programs range from in-home respite and daycare to adult day habilitation, job training and coaching. The Arc helps participants achieve their life goals and become productive members of the community by creating opportunities for inclusion and community integration. In addition, The Arc supports caregivers by providing continuity of care for their loved ones while also providing a network of families to support one another.
