Iowa Humane Alliance is a nonprofit animal welfare organization committed to solving the animal over-population crisis by forging partnerships and developing life-saving programs. Innovative programs directly reduce pet over-population by providing services for pet parents, shelter and rescue partners and community cat caretakers. The IHA Regional Spay/Neuter Clinic (located in Cedar Rapids) is celebrating its tenth anniversary, and has performed 88,000 spay and neuter surgeries since opening in 2013. This clinic is the first low-cost, high-quality, high-volume clinic of its kind in the state. IHA demonstrates a non-judgmental approach and strive to reduce barriers, making basic veterinary services accessible for Iowa pets.
